HISTORY OF TNAI KASHMIR UNIT


The TNAI Kashmir Unit is the professional organization of registered scholars and practitioners of nursing at various levels. It is a platform of commemorate and salute visionary nurses who founded the organization and developed to the level where we find ourselves today.

The Jammu and Kashmir TNAI branch was established in December, 1979 with minimum number of membership which gradually raised to thousands by hard work, dedication and inspirations of our team members.
In 2001 the J&K TNAI branch got divided (I) “TNAI Kashmir Unit” and (II) “TNAI Jammu and Ladakh Unit.”


At present we have an independent TNAI Kashmir Unit which have members all over the Kashmir valley who are linked together through their active participation in TNAI developmental activities.


The head office of TNAI Kashmir Unit is at Sher-i-Kashmir Institute Of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura, Srinagar which is renown tericiary care hospital of Jammu and Kashmir.


The TNAI Kashmir Unit works in collaboration with rules and regulations and Byelaws of THE TRAINED NURSES ASSOCIATION OF INDIA (National body) at Delhi headquarters towards professional, educational, economic advancement and general welfare of nurses. The main goal of our mission is commitment towards service of humanity and to promote the high standards of health care and nursing practice. The association also works to uphold the empowerment of nursing professionals.


The TNAI Kashmir Unit works in collaboration with rules and regulations and Byelaws of THE TRAINED NURSES ASSOCIATION OF INDIA (National body) at Delhi headquarters towards professional, educational, economic advancement and general welfare of nurses.
